ABOUT DOJAY
Dojay Design is a custom fabrication studio based in Whitehorse, Yukon — where the landscape is raw, the winters are long, and there's a lot of time to make things properly.
Jayden Doan founded Dojay out of a simple belief: that the things we live with every day should be worth keeping. Not assembled from a flat-pack. Not mass-produced in a factory. Designed with intention, built by hand, and made to outlast the trends that were popular when you bought them.
Jayden brings a rare combination to every project — a formal education in industrial design and years of hands-on fabrication experience in wood and metal. Most furniture is either designed by someone who can't build it, or built by someone who never learned to design it. At Dojay, the same person who draws the piece builds the piece. That changes everything about how it turns out.
Raised in rural Saskatchewan and now rooted in the Yukon, Jayden's work carries the influence of both — a connection to natural materials, a respect for function, and an aesthetic that sits somewhere between modern industrial and the organic imperfection of things made by hand. Steel and hardwood are the primary materials. Longevity is the goal. Character is the result.
Dojay works with homeowners, designers, and businesses across Canada on custom commissions — from coffee tables and benches to sculptural lighting and statement pieces for commercial spaces. Every project starts with a conversation and ends with something you won't find anywhere else.
